These Statistics Explained!
A brief explanation of the columns and what they mean:
Site: There are two sites for Georgia Moffett || The Fan Website. One is UK based and one is US based. The UK based one (.co.uk) is the longest running and is considered to be the "main site". The mirror site based in the US (.net) is a more recent site and is there in case the "main" site has a problem. Content is identical on both websites (except in the case of competitions or other fan-input forms). The statistics are split into both of the sites then totalled for a grand finish!
Unique Visitors: This is based on the number of unique individual IP addresses that visit the site. (Most IP addresses stay near enough the same, as most ISP's and workplace internet connections have proxying or fixed addresses.)
Pages Served: This is the number of pages that the web servers have displayed to browser requests. This figure is based on the amount of pages shown, not the amount of times that page has been requested (see hits, below).
Number of Hits: The number of times that an article page has been requested by individuals. This figure is based on the amount of requests, regardless of the content.
Bandwidth: The amount of bandwidth used by browsers accessing content on the site. As the multimedia content on the site has increased, the bandwidth used increases also, as playing videos uses bandwidth!
