New characters revealed!

We can exclusively reveal details about the next group of Junior F2 Doctors to join Casualty this September... and the big news is that there will be 8 of them.

Like Ruth and Toby before, the new F2s will join Holby's ED on a training year to learn what it is like to work in a busy emergency department and see what highs and lows it brings. Worryingly, it seems that not all eight F2s will still be doctors by the end of their year at Casualty...

In the new series of the BBC1 drama, amongst the 8 new F2s are:

Georgia Moffett (Doctor Who, The Bill) who plays new F2 Heather, who just can't wait to get cracking on her first day in the job - but finds it a bit tougher than she or her colleagues ever expected.

Steven Miller plays the intriguingly named Dr Lenny Lyons, a firecracker in the department who puts more than a few noses out of joint.

Newcomer Will Sharpe joins the cast as Dr Yuki Reid, a brilliant but painfully shy doctor.

And, Laura Aikman (Personal Affairs, The Mysti Show) joins as May Phelps - a doctor with a secret.

So far we've had no suggestion as to whether we'll meet the new F2's families, or even if they have on screen love lives. But time will tell, and we'll be here to bring you the F2's stories as they unfold!
